Congress Leader Criticizes MP Chief Minister Over Portfolio and Land Purchases

Senior Congress leader Digvijaya Singh said Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav holding 12 portfolios is a "big mistake" that could land him in trouble. He also said that if an officer makes a mistake and puts money in his pocket, the chief minister may one day be in trouble. Singh said, "Chief Minister Yadav is the son of a mill worker, but if he does any wrong work, he will not be spared." Replying to questions on allegations of land purchase by CM Yadav's family members, Singh said, "Mohan Yadav ji, you have kept 12 departments with you. You are making a big mistake. You will be in trouble. Some officer will make a mistake, put money in his pocket, but you will be stuck." Yadav currently holds general administration, home, prisons, industrial policy and investment promotion, public relations, Narmada valley development, aviation, mineral resources, public service management, and NRI-affairs along with other portfolios that have not been given to Digvijaya Singh during his ten-year tenure as Madhya Pradesh chief minister.
