Senior Congress leader V. Hanumantha Rao was admitted to the Asian Institute of Nephrology and Urology (AINU) in Khairatabad on Saturday (27 June 2026). His health deteriorated due to a chronic kidney problem, after which doctors immediately started advanced medical treatment to stabilize his condition. The veteran leader, who has been active in state politics for several decades, felt physically very uncomfortable late on Monday evening. His family immediately took him to this special hospital for kidney treatment. According to medical sources, this is not the first time that this senior leader has faced such a serious health problem. Earlier also he had to be admitted to the hospital due to the same kidney problem and after intensive treatment under the close supervision of an expert nephrologist, he was completely cured. On reaching the hospital, a special team of senior doctors was formed to check his existing medical parameters.
