Congress Leader Warns of Threat to Small Parties Amid Merger Talks

Senior Congress leader and former MP Rashid Alvi has reacted to this. He said that there is a threat to the existence of small parties. The Bharatiya Janata Party will break their MPs. Today the first objective of the Bharatiya Janata Party is to get a two-thirds majority in Parliament. They are asking the DMK to come with them. Mamata Banerjee's 20 MPs will break. They need more. They will break the Shiv Sena, Sharad Pawar and small parties comfortably. If they get a two-thirds majority, they will change the law. Rashid Alvi further said, "So the regional parties of our country should merge with the Congress. This is the need of the hour. We have 100 MPs. Five-five, seven-seven MPs will join, then 150 will reach. Then the BJP will not be able to break them." On the list of rebel MPs of the TMC, he said, "I want to give my respect to Mamata Banerjee."
