Congress Leader Warns Party Members Against Making Comments That May Benefit BJP

Senior Congress party leader KC Venugopal has issued a warning on Sunday, August 9. The warning is being seen as a reference to Shashi Tharoor's statement. KC Venugopal has said that the real Gen-G participated in Rahul Gandhi's protests on students'issues, so Congress leaders should be careful before making such comments. Shashi Tharoor had compared this protest to the CJP protest. To this, Venugopal has said that he does not think Tharoor made such comments intentionally. According to PTI, Venugopal said, "We all should take care. Whether intentionally or unintentionally. Don't make such comments. I don't think he said it intentionally. Nor did he intend to. Even if Congress members do not always strictly follow party rules or discipline, we should refrain from making such statements. These only make the BJP happy." Tharoor said on Friday. "The protest was raised by Rahul Gandhi."
