Congress Leaders Clash Over Land Allotment Issue; Youth Congress Meeting Marred by Controversy

At a meeting of the Congress's Political Affairs Committee (PAC) on the Ujjain land allotment issue, former chief minister Digvijaya Singh's statement drew the ire of several leaders. MLA Arif Masood said that different statements on the issue raised by state president Jitu Patwari were creating confusion among workers. He said that the public would ask who was right. Former MLA Praveen Pathak also said at the meeting that if senior leaders weakened the state president's stance, the morale of the struggling workers in the field would be broken and the party's campaign would be weakened.
