Congress MLA Sofia Firdous Stands Firm on Rajya Sabha Elections, Refuses to Comment on Party Equation

In a significant political development, Cuttack -Barabati MLA Sofia Firdous on Tuesday reacted to the ongoing discussion surrounding the Rajya Sabha elections, stating that there is no need to question her individually on the matter. The Congress leader made it clear that she will stand by whatever decision is taken by her party. Speaking to the media, Firdous said that she would follow the party’s official stand regarding the Rajya Sabha polls. When asked about the political equation between the Congress and the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in the context of the Rajya Sabha elections, the legislator chose not to comment. She said that she would not like to make any statement at this moment regarding the relationship between the two parties. "There is no need to question me individually about the Rajya Sabha election. I will stand by whatever decision is taken by our party. The Congress has remained out of power for many years because of the BJD. However, they have been united regarding the Rajya Sabha elections. I am ready to abide by the party’s decision," said Congress MLA Sofia Firdous. Sofia's remarks come amid growing political discussions over the Rajya Sabha elections and possible alignments among the political parties in Odisha.
