The Congress party on Wednesday (June 3, 2026) announced the names of its seven candidates for the biennial Rajya Sabha elections to be held in several states of the country. Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge, party's media department head Pawan Khera and Mansoor Ali Khan have been nominated from Karnataka seats. The party has nominated Pranav Jha for one of the two seats in Jharkhand. However, there are reports of a tussle between Congress and Hemant Soren's party Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) over two Rajya Sabha seats in Jharkhand. Meanwhile, Congress party media chief Pawan Khera made a big statement that we are going to win all seven Rajya Sabha seats and Congress will also win in Jharkhand.
