Congress Party Conducts Talent Hunt for Spokespersons and Media Personnel

The state Congress had started a talent hunt for various posts related to spokespersons and media. Applications were sought till February 28. About 500 people applied from all over the state. Then in March, interviews were held at the divisional level and the selected candidates were also interviewed at the state level. In Bhopal, a committee of senior leaders screened the candidates. According to the plan, new appointments were also to be made in research, media and publicity posts with about 20 spokespersons at the state level. The purpose of the advertising talent hunt exercise was to prepare new faces for the Congress who could keep the party's ideology strong and respond to contemporary issues on the basis of facts and research. It was said to give a chance to the youth and people who are socially active but have not been a big face in active politics so far. Although the list has not been released after the completion of the interview and selection process, questions have now been raised within the party as to why the list of candidates has been released when the final list of advertisements has been completed.
