Congress Party Preps for Local Elections with Public-Driven Ticket Allocation

Rajkot, તા.17: In view of the forthcoming elections to the Zila Panchayat and Taluka Panchayat, the Congress party has already started intensive preparations. According to party sources, in-charges for 11 (eleven) taluks of the district will be appointed in the next few days. These in-charges will go among the people at the taluka and village level and conduct an exercise to allocate tickets to the candidates of the people's choice, so as to gain the unwavering trust of the public. Earlier, such direct public relations methods were not used by the party on a large scale. On the other hand, amidst the sporadic internal dissensions or factionalism in the party, the party will achieve great success through'Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan'and polling station (booth) level work. Currently, the BJP is in power in the Zila Panchayat. Some administrative issues and shortcomings in the development work during the tenure of the current regime are being raised by the Congress from time to time.
