Congress Protests in Lucknow Demanding Chief Election Commissioner's Resignation

Demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, Congress workers protested at Hazratganj intersection in Lucknow, raising slogans. During the protest, several Congress workers, including state Congress president Ajay Rai and MLA Aradhana Mishra, climbed the barricades. During the protest, police tried to push back the protesters. The police forcibly detained the workers. When the Congress workers marched from their party headquarters to the CM's residence, the police blocked their way by putting up barricades. The workers were trying to cross the barricades. Additional police force was called to the spot when the situation deteriorated. According to the police, 12 police stations and four battalions of PAC were deployed for security arrangements.
