The Congress has won only 2 seats in the West Bengal assembly elections. Apart from this, it has won 4 seats in Tamil Nadu. In the same state, it won 18 in the 2021 elections. In this way, the Congress has been disappointed by both the states. Still, it will be happy for one reason. It is that veteran leaders like Mamata Banerjee and MK Stalin have lost here. Both these leaders have lost their seats with the loss of power. Now that they are out of the assembly, the confessions of these leaders have also decreased. They will have less weight, especially in the INDIA Alliance, whose supporters often express their ambition to become the leader. This is a relief for the Congress and now its leader Rahul Gandhi will have the opportunity to establish himself as the leader of the opposition across the country.
