Speaking at the launch of a march in support of CPI (M) candidate Goutam Roy in the Howrah North Assembly constituency on Sunday, party politburo member Sridip Bhattacharya said: "Unemployment, deprivation, lack of access to nutritious food is on the rise across the country. Workers'rights are being snatched away through labour codes. Leftists across the country are fighting with the common man against this. Unemployment is on the rise across the country. Most of our migrant workers are leaving the state in search of a new job. Instead of setting up factories, the youth of the state are leaving the state in search of a job. Instead of setting up jobs, the youth of the state are leaving the state," Bhattacharya said. Senior party leader Soren Sarkar, party leader Abhijit Chatterjee and Pawan Singh were part of the march. Sridip Bhattacharya said: "The BJP wants to establish humanism and introduce citizenship in the name of religion. The BJP wants to break the country's democracy, constitution, pluralism and secularism."
