Soon after the announcement of the candidate, Debraj Barman, the Left Front nominated CPI (M) candidate from Jalpaiguri Sadar constituency, campaigned at Karlawali Tea Estate in Aurobindo Gram Panchayat area adjacent to the city. Debraj Barman met the workers and employees of Karlawali Tea Estate this morning. He went to the workers'place of work and exchanged pleasantries with them and discussed their demands. He was accompanied by Subhasis Sarkar, secretary of CPI (M) Sadar West Area Committee, Rabina Munda, Gobin Oraon, Mrinal Roy, Sanjay Sarkar, CPI (M) panchayat members of this garden. Debraj Barman said that the long-standing demand of the tea workers for their minimum wages and land pattas will be raised in the assembly after he wins. Debraj Barman campaigned at the garden lines door-to-door after campaigning at the garden work place. The tea workers also said that this time against the policies of Trinamool BJP's boss Toshon, they will unite in front of the Left Front candidate in the Jalpaiguri (Jalpaiguri) district office.
