The CPI (M) will be represented by its Rajya Sabha leader John Brittas at the INDI block meeting on Monday. However, the party is still awaiting a response from the Congress on the allegations made during the Kerala Assembly election campaign. News agency PTI quoted sources as saying. CPI (M) general secretary MA Baby recently wrote to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge seeking an explanation on the comments of senior Congress leaders that hinted at a political understanding between the CPI (M) and the BJP in Kerala. A copy of the letter was also shared with other parts of the INDI block, which said such allegations were against the spirit of cooperation of the opposition alliance. The Left party has said it is waiting for a clarification from the Congress on the matter. CPI (M) sources said the party is yet to receive a response from the Congress and expects Brittas to raise the issue at the meeting.
