CRPF Halts Summer Transfers Due to Assembly Elections

For the second year in a row, the CRPF, the country's largest central paramilitary force, has put a moratorium on summer chain transfers. The transfers were put on hold in May last year due to Operation Sindoor. This time, the transfer process in the force, which has a strength of 3. 25 lakh, has been put on hold till May 15 due to assembly elections in five states. No personnel or executive officers who have been transferred will be relieved. The orders were issued by the force headquarters on Thursday.
