Preparations are underway to form a new team of Delhi BJP. There is a plan to change the organization. Under this, about 70-80 percent of the existing office bearers of the party can be replaced with new faces and young leaders. Under the leadership of the new Delhi BJP president Harsh Malhotra, the party is already engaged in the reorganization of district units. A senior office bearer of Delhi BJP said that a complete change in the state unit is expected by July. It will be emphasized that new leaders with a good track record are given a chance and due to this reorganization, about 70-80 percent of the existing office bearers may have to leave the post. He said that there is also a plan to ensure that most of the young leaders, especially those under the age of 45, get a chance to work in different positions. Earlier, Malhotra had said in a media interaction that the reorganization work will be completed by July and the new office bearers under his leadership will take charge of the work before the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) elections next year. A senior office bearer of Delhi BJP had also said last month that there is a need for a complete change in the state unit.
