Delhi Congress Criticizes PM UDAY Scheme, Calls it Confusing Policy

Senior spokesperson of the state Congress Dr. Naresh Kumar questioned the PM UDAY scheme of the central and Delhi government, calling it a complete failure and confusing policy for the public. He alleged that instead of regularizing the unauthorized colonies on the basis of where they are, the government is now moving towards regularizing only the plots, which will put additional burden on the people. Dr. Naresh Kumar has submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on this issue, a copy of which has also been sent to Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu. He said that only 40 thousand people have been connected to the PM UDAY scheme launched about seven years ago, which shows its limited success. He alleged that earlier the objective of this scheme was to regularize the unauthorized colonies on the basis of where it is now, but now the government is only changing the complex procedures for the people.
