Political rhetoric has intensified in the aftermath of the heavy rains that have caused waterlogging and flood-like conditions in many areas of the capital. Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee president Devender Yadav has launched a scathing attack on the BJP's "triple engine" government, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD), and Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's government, saying that due to administrative negligence, people's lives have been disrupted in the capital. He claimed that now the threat of diseases like dengue and malaria was also increasing rapidly in front of the city. Devender Yadav said that after the rains, potholes on the capital's roads, dug-up places during construction work, stagnant water in various colonies, and rotting garbage for a long time have created favorable conditions for mosquitoes to flourish. According to him, these conditions can become a major reason for the spread of infectious diseases like dengue and malaria. He said that the government should immediately carry out a large-scale cleaning and drainage campaign. The Congress president accused the BJP's "triple engine" government of "illegally" affecting the functioning of the municipal corporations.
