Delhi Government Announces Monsoon Session, Pledges Commitment to Public Interest

Government reiterates commitment to implement necessary decisions in public interestAmar Ujala Bureau Delhi: The monsoon session of the Delhi Legislative Assembly will be held from August 7 to 11. The dates of the session were approved in a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta at the Delhi Secretariat on Tuesday. The Chief Minister informed that the five-day session will have detailed discussions on issues related to Delhi's development, public utility schemes and public interest. He said that the government is committed to take necessary decisions and implement schemes effectively, giving priority to the interests of the people. During the session, progress of schemes of various departments, implementation of budget and development works will be reviewed. While MLAs can place questions and proposals related to public interest in the House, the government has indicated that the session will have meaningful discussions on important topics related to Delhi's development.
