Delhi High Court Told Alleged Contemptuous Posts Against Justice Sharma Still Available on Social Media

The Delhi High Court was told that Aam Aadmi Party convener Arvind Kejriwal, some other party leaders, and cockroach Janata Party spokesperson Saurav Das have not yet completely removed the alleged contemptuous posts against Justice Swarna Kanta Sharma. This was claimed by petitioner Ashok Chaitanya. In the Delhi High Court, petitioner Ashok Chaitanya told the bench of Justice Navin Chawla and Justice Arun Bhardwaj that in the last hearing, he had told the court that the relevant tweets have been removed, but according to him, upon investigation, it was found that the same content is still available on social media and has not been completely removed. The Delhi High Court, while hearing the case, directed the petitioner to file an affidavit. The court said that the posts or other material which are still claimed to be present on social media be brought on record along with the relevant documents. That is, at present, the court has not given any final conclusion on these allegations. In this case, the court had asked Arvind Kejriwal to complete the criminal contempt proceedings initiated by five people, including the criminal contempt of court, and the criminal contempt proceedings to be filed within six weeks of May 2026.
