Delhi Hit by Thunderstorm with Heavy Rain, Temperature Drops Significantly

Thunderstorm accompanied with heavy rain in Delhi and NCR (National Capital Region) led to a drop in the maximum temperature. Icy winds blowing at a speed of 50 (fifty) kmph disturbed the common man and the working class. The forecast of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) proved to be correct and continuous drizzle to heavy rain continued in Delhi and adjoining areas including Noida. Thunderstorms and gusty winds blowing at a speed of 30 (thirty) to 50 (fifty) kmph have caused a deadly chill in the atmosphere. As per the data of the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature has dropped drastically by 6 to 7 degrees, making the temperature hovering around 25 to 27 degrees and the minimum temperature hovering between 15 to 17 degrees. The early morning showers caused immense sufferings to the office-goers and school-goers. According to the official update of the Meteorological Department, the weather will remain cloudy and cloudy till March 25.
