The Railway unit of Delhi Police has busted a major child trafficking racket. Police have arrested 8 accused in the case and rescued the kidnapped one-and-a-half-year-old child. The child was stolen from the waiting hall on the Ajmeri Gate side of New Delhi Railway Station. According to Delhi Police, a 26-year-old woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was living separately from her husband for the past one year. She had no permanent place to stay, so she was staying with her one-and-a-half-year-old son in the main hall of New Delhi Railway Station. According to the police, her child suddenly disappeared at around 6.30 am on 24 May. The woman lodged a complaint that someone had kidnapped her child. Railway Police immediately formed a special team and launched an investigation into the case. Seeing the seriousness of the case, Delhi Police scanned the footage of about 300 CCTV cameras from the railway station to Kasim Vihar in Ghaziabad. DCP Mori Shastri, who accompanied the three children from the railway station, reached the auto park again.
