The clarification came on Tuesday evening after the Congress claimed that the police had not given it permission to hold the rally at Ramlila Maidan. The Delhi Police said there would be no such talk about caste, religion or colour in the rally and the rally would have to end by 5 pm. No participant would be allowed to stay overnight at Ramlila Maidan before or after the rally. After the allegation, the Delhi Police issued a statement saying that the NOC (No Objection Certificate) issued to book Ramlila Maidan from October 25 to November 3 for holding the rally on November 1 is still intact, with the condition that "no objection is made to the permission given to us by the owner of the land, provided that the permission is granted in accordance with the provisions of the law."
