Delhi Police Crack Down on Violence Amid Ongoing Protests

Amid the ongoing protests led by the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) in Delhi, the police have hinted at strict action against violence and rioters. Top officials of the Delhi Police have told Aaj Tak that legal action will be taken against anyone caught rioting or violence during the protest, as well as action to cancel their passport. According to police sources, security agencies are taking a tough stance on action against those found involved in lawlessness and violence in Delhi. Police officials have said that no one will be allowed to take the law into their own hands and those involved in violence will be identified and dealt with as per rules. This action comes at a time when the CJP protest is going on at Jantar Mantar. The situation was tense when the protesters tried to march towards Parliament on Monday. There were reports of clashes between the protesters and the police, however, and several top police officials are now clear on the police's strategy in dealing with the violence.
