Delhi Police Investigates Alleged Manhandling of Policemen During Protests

The Delhi Police is investigating the alleged manhandling of policemen during the Congress and INDIA block protests near Jantar Mantar. According to police sources, several mobile videos have surfaced showing women police officers and constables being allegedly manhandled and assaulted. These videos are being investigated to identify the protesters who were allegedly involved in the manhandling of policemen. It is also being looked at how the incident started and what happened at different places. According to police sources, an FIR is likely to be registered in this case under sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including assault on government employees, obstruction of their work and obstruction of duty. Police are also investigating videos and footage from other sources. The case is related to the INDIA block protest near Jantar Mantar on Wednesday. The protest by opposition parties and SIR Gyanesh Kumar's cross-examination of the alleged police irregularities during the second protest.
