The investigation into the building plan passage fraud case has resumed. But will the allegations of corruption in the House for All project against the TMC-run Dinhata municipality be covered up when this case comes to light? Questions have already begun to be raised. It is alleged that this corruption took place during the tenure of former North Bengal Development Minister and Trinamool leader Udayan Guha, who was the municipal head of Dinhata Municipality from 2015 to 2021. The municipal authorities have been accused of extorting money from consumers in the name of providing houses in this project, nepotism, and robbing these consumers of their democracy. By 2022, a central delegation also came to Dinhata. Notably, Udayan Guha served as the municipal head of Dinhata Municipality from 2015 to 2021. During this period, allegations of unlimited irregularities have been made against the Dinhata Municipality. Initially, the municipality was supposed to collect 25 thousand rupees from the consumers under the House for All project, but the Municipal Authority of Budhlakote Municipality has not only collected money from the consumers.
