District Election Department Makes Arrangements for Voter Verification Ahead of Campaign

The District Election Department has made elaborate arrangements for the campaign. Eight Electoral Registration Officers, 3,165 BLOs and 303 Supervisors have been appointed in the eight Assembly Constituencies of the district. The information of every voter in the electoral rolls is being checked through BLOs and mapping is being done by comparing it with the 2002 electoral rolls. The voters whose names are not available in the old rolls are being verified on the basis of their parents'names.
