Kinahan fled police crackdown in Europe in 2016 and arrived in Dubai. According to reports, he entered the Gulf country on the basis of fake passports. While there, he amassed about $1.5 billion in personal wealth. The Dubai government's official portal revealed that Kinahan's original 1957 visa expired in April this year and his 2024 residency card had also expired.
