Election Commission Approves SIR Orders for 12 States, Including Bihar and Assam

It was reported that in 12 states, including Bihar-Assam, the SIR had the approval of the Election Commissioners and the Chief Election Commissioner. This decision was unanimous. Sources said that the Election Commissioners and the Chief Election Commissioner had all together approved the SIR order for Bihar, the SIR order for Assam, the SIR order for 12 states and union territories, and the SIR order for 19 states / union territories. Further, it was stated that the approved SIR orders also included a declaration form. This would have to be submitted along with Form-6 to add new voters.
