In Haryana, the Election Commission has intensified monitoring for timely disposal of notices and hearing cases related to electoral rolls under Special Intensive Revision (SIR). So far 44,91,923 notices have been generated in the state. Out of these, 3,43,127 voters have not responded. Special camps will be held from October 7 to 9 to ensure timely completion of hearings related to the notices. House-to-house surveys will also be conducted. Documents will be obtained by conducting special drives at such polling stations where the concerned voters have not yet submitted the required documents despite receiving the notices. The Commission has appealed to the voters receiving notices to compulsorily attend the hearing on the scheduled date. To make the electoral rolls more transparent, a large number of booth level agents have been appointed by different political parties in the state. BJP has 19,554, Indian National Congress 17,127, Indian National Lok Dal 21,186, Jannayak Janata Party 21,154, Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) 2,943 and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) 2,311 have been appointed.
