Ranchi: The Election Commission will soon conduct a door-to-door Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of about 2.64 crore voters in Jharkhand. Officials informed that the SIR is part of the third phase of the Election Commission's nationwide campaign, which includes 16 states and three union territories. SIR will begin in Jharkhand from June 30. Booth Level Officers of the Election Commission will visit every household to verify voters. The process will formally begin on June 30 with door-to-door visits by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and the final electoral roll will be published on October 7. Jharkhand's Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) K. Ravi Kumar said that they have already started preparations for the exercise. Major update on SIR in Jharkhand He said in a press release, "On May 23, the list of voters whose Aadhaar is not matched with their address in the 2003 electoral roll will be published. SIR officers (BLOs) will also contact Jharkhand's booth-level voters to check their name and address.
