Election Preparedness Briefed: Nomination Process, Campaigning Rules, and Counting Schedule Outlined

Electoral Officer cum Divisional Commissioner, Saran, Manish Kumar briefed about the election preparedness in a press conference. He informed that the nomination process will start from 29th September and will go on till 6th October. The nomination papers can be filed in the Commissioner's Court Room from 11.00 am to 3.00 pm except on holidays. It will be mandatory for the contesting candidates to be proposers of the 10 electors included in the final electoral roll. The scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on 7th October, while the withdrawal of nominations can be done till 9th October. A single window system has been set up at the district level to allow campaigning and rallies. Permission will be granted on a'first-come-first-served'basis so that all the candidates get equal opportunity. After the polling on 23rd October, the counting will be held on 27th October at the designated counting centre in the district headquarters. The administration has made preparations to conduct the election process in a transparent, peaceful and time-bound manner.
