Polling began at 9 am, with a large number of members exercising their franchise. Voters started moving into the club premises from the morning. Supporters of the candidates were holding placards and appealing to them to win. Many supporters also came wearing T-shirts with slogans written on them. Four booths were set up in the club for voters. Wheelchairs were also arranged for many senior members. There is a neck-to-neck competition between the two panels in the election. Voters were given two ballot papers to vote on. One ballot paper was to choose among the candidates for the post of president, secretary, joint secretary, and treasurer, while the other was for the post of executive member. Some candidates were also in the fray instead of the panels. Atul Sheth from the Chhabra panel has been made the candidate for the post of secretary, while Vijay Kasturi from the Gaurani-Sachdeva panel is the candidate for the post of secretary. He is also leading in the counting of votes. Apart from this, independent candidate Kulwinder Singh Gill has also won the post of president.
