Alleging that there were complaints of mass copying during police recruitment in Himachal and conducting examinations with CCTV cameras switched off, Jairam Thakur said that the Sukhu government did not take any action. Jairam Thakur said that during the tenure of the BJP government, the investigation was handed over to the CBI when the case came to light. He claimed that the CBI recommended action against the guilty IPS officers, but even after one and a half years, the government did not take action. On the contrary, the concerned officers were appointed to important posts and promoted. Jai Ram Thakur said that Rahul Gandhi should seek answers from his Chief Minister as to why the officers who cheated the youth were being patronized. Jairam Thakur also targeted the state government in the case of the murder of a school governess in Shimla. Jairam Thakur said that the law and order in the state had deteriorated and criminals were not afraid of the police. Earlier, Jairam Thakur participated in an organisational meeting of the BJP. The meeting discussed strengthening the organisation, chalking out upcoming programmes and issues of public interest. Newly elected BJP MP Sikander Kumar was also present during this meeting.
