Fadnavis: Opposition Unity Would Boost BJP's Political Space

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis believes that if opposition parties unite or merge, it increases the political space of the BJP. Fadnavis also commented on the talk of some parties merging with the Congress, saying that the Congress is a sinking ship. No one would like to climb on it. Devendra Fadnavis was speaking to reporters today on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi breaking Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru's record as an elected prime minister. To this, he was asked about Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut's suggestion that parties that left the Congress should go back to the Congress. Fadnavis, without naming Raut, described him as an Abdullah in a beguiling marriage. No one would like to ride on it. Fadnavis further said that even if all opposition parties unite, it would not harm the BJP.
