Family Protests Outside MLA's Office Over Land Grabbing Allegations

In Warangal, a family protested outside Warangal West MLA Naini Rajendra Reddy's camp office. They alleged that the MLA's close aide grabbed their land and assaulted the women of the family. The protesters also poured petrol on themselves in an attempt to set themselves ablaze. The protesters accused Bonta Sarangapani of forcibly taking over their land and assaulting the women of the family. Sarangapani is said to be a close supporter of the MLA and a councillor candidate for the 30th division. The incident took place outside the MLA's camp office, leading to tension. The police and locals intervened and prevented the attempt to set themselves on fire. The family says they had complained to the MLA several times about harassment and land grabbing, but alleged that he did not take any action and instead sided with Sarangapani. They also alleged that Sarangapani had previously occupied Yadava Reddy and Nagaraja plots in Hanumakonda within the city limits, despite the MLA's claims that he had broken the houses of the poor residents.
