The Forest Department gave a written assurance to give a job to the deceased's wife by outsourcing and Rs 30 lakh to the family through various means. After about seven hours, the family members calmed down and picked up the body. Fire watcher Rajendra Singh died while extinguishing the forest fire on Thursday. His charred body was found in a 70-meter deep ditch. The SDRF team reached Badrinath Highway with the body in the morning.
