Former BJP Leader K. Annamalai Resigns, Launches New Political Movement 'We the Leaders Foundation'

Former Tamil Nadu BJP president and former IPS officer K. Annamalai resigned from the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday. With this resignation, he has started a new'political movement '. He called for people to engage on issues like education, health, development, and youth leadership under the'We the Leaders Foundation '. More than 50 grassroots leaders and more than 8 lakh workers joined in just four hours. The statement on the foundation's website said that they believe in a governance model of'conscious leadership, community participation, and data-based decision-making '. Annamalai's political movement aims to bridge the gap between technological advancement and human-centric leadership, so that every constituency can have inclusive, sustainable, and impactful development. He also pledged to promote development-oriented and culturally rooted politics in Tamil Nadu as well as to eliminate sectarian and dynastic politics. In his resignation letter, Nithin wrote that he does not want to burden the party with new political direction.
