Former Politician Denies Corruption Allegations: 'I Never Took a Single Rupee'

He wrote, I have been associated with politics since my student days. I was also the General Secretary of the Student Parliament in Burdwan University. But I never compromised with corruption. I never took any money from anyone in return for work. I never took any financial benefit from the people who worked with me or the people who were in touch with me. Even from my boys who worked with me, I did not eat a single sweet. I was never associated with any financial corruption. I was not in any responsibility except for the general meeting of TRDA. I was not in the tender committee. I did not have the authority to sign any cheque. I also had no role in approving any scheme or issuing no objection certificate.
