New Delhi: Two tunnel boring machines (TBMs) for India's ambitious bullet train project in the midst of the US-Iran war have arrived at Mumbai's Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust. Each machine digging the tunnels is about 2,000 tons. These machines have been made by the German company Herrenknecht, whose production has been done in Guangzhou factory in China. These machines have been brought from China to India by ships. The Prime Minister's Office (PMO) and the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi had to contact Beijing, Berlin, and after a long diplomatic dialogue, the government has got this big success. With the arrival of these machines, the bullet train project will now be expedited. According to underground media reports, these machines will soon cut rocks under a city and make an underground tunnel, through which India's first bullet train will pass. According to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), these machines have been brought to India's airports for 18 months.
