MUMBAI: Medical tests conducted on a 12-year-old girl with complaints of nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain revealed a large ball of hair in her abdomen. The ball was so large that it covered more than 90 per cent of the abdominal area. After medical surgery, the ball of hair was removed. The girl weighs 39 kg. She did not have any serious illness, but her physical development was very slow with age. Medical tests were done. The girl was diagnosed with a ball of hair in her abdomen. Dr Aditya Kulkarni, a paediatrician in the department of gastroenterology and hepatology, said there was a lump in the upper left side of the abdomen. A CT scan showed a ball in the abdominal cavity.
