Google Fined €403 Million for Illegally Collecting Users' Location Data

From what we search on smartphones to the location of the phone, many of Google's services collect information related to our digital activities. Google has been fined 403 million euros (about 463 million dollars (about 4,432 million rupees) for this data. The European Union's data privacy regulator said that the company did not process users'location data in a legal, fair and transparent way. This whole case has come to light from Dublin, the capital of Ireland. The Irish agency was in charge of this whole case because Google has its headquarters in Dublin in 27 countries of the European Union. The investigation started six years ago to see whether the company followed the rules of the European Union's strict privacy law GDPR (GDPR). This action has been taken after the data between 2018 and 2020. Three of Google's services have been under investigation in the investigation.
