Government Demands Discussion on NEET Paper Leak Amid Opposition Resistance

On August 12, Home Minister Amit Shah wrote a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla demanding a discussion on the NEET paper leak. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju alleged that the government is ready for a discussion, but the opposition is not allowing it. He said that the Congress and some opposition parties are only creating a ruckus and running away from the discussion. Rijiju said that when the monsoon session is about to end, the Home Minister was forced to write a letter to the Lok Sabha Speaker for a discussion and request him to convince the people of the opposition for a discussion. Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju said, "I am very disappointed. For the first time in my life, I am seeing a scene where the government wants a discussion in the house but the opposition is running away. It is difficult to imagine because in a democracy, the opposition demands a discussion and the government responds. Here the government itself is asking for a discussion but the opposition does not want to hear the answer and they are running away. Can you imagine it?
