Gujarat Assembly Session Marred by Absenteeism as MLAs Fail to Attend Question Hour

(Ashwin Vyas) Gandhinagar: The current budget session has begun. During the question hour in the assembly, questions related to different departments are asked, especially by the MLAs seeking answers from the government about the development works in their area. However, a serious matter has come to the fore in this session. Many important questions are being asked in the assembly now, but it is to be noted that the MLAs who have asked questions are themselves not present during the question hour. This irresponsible behavior of the MLAs is affecting the functioning of the throat. Due to this serious negligence, the Speaker of the assembly today expressed his strong displeasure. He has given strict instructions to all the party leaders who have asked questions in the assembly. The Speaker made it clear that such indiscipline will not be practiced.
