Gujarat Government Reveals Fees Paid to Lawyers for Fixed Salary Case

Ahmedabad: In the Gujarat Legislative Assembly, the question of lawyers engaged in the state's fixed salary case and their fees was asked. Gopal Italia, MLA from Visavadar, asked which lawyers have been stopped from representing the government in the court in the state government's case related to fixed salary in the Supreme Court, what is the fee to be paid, how much fee has been paid in the last two years in the case of 01-01-2026 and for what reason? The government said that K K Venugopal has received a conference and appearance fee of Rs 5 lakh for the day and a clerkage fee of Rs 50,000. In response, the government said that Mahesh Agarwal has been stopped from 14-04-2012, Harish Salve from 18-04-2012, Kamal Trivedi from 18-04-2012, Mukul Rohatgi from 18-04-2012, K Vishwanathan from 10-03-2014, Tushar Mehta from ID10 30-12-2019, K Venugopal from ID11 30-12-2019.
