Gujarat Local Body Elections Scheduled for April 26-28

Over 41.8 million voters are expected to exercise their franchise in these elections. Gandhinagar: The long-awaited local body elections in Gujarat are finally clear. The schedule for the elections has been formally announced by the State Election Commission at a press conference in Gandhinagar on Wednesday evening. State Election Commissioner S. Murali Krishna said that the polling process for the 15 municipal corporations (excluding Junagadh and Gandhinagar), 34 district panchayats, 260 taluka panchayats and 84 municipalities in the state will be conducted on April 26, 2026, while the results will be declared after counting of votes on April 28.
