Following the resignation of Haryana State Women Commission chairperson Renu Bhatia over a dispute with nursing staff in Kurukshetra, the state government has reconstituted the commission. BJP Mahila Morcha state president Usha Priyadarshini, a resident of Gurugram, has been made the new chairperson of the women's commission. Similarly, BJP Mahila Morcha state general secretary Meena Parmar, who contested on a BJP ticket from Tosham assembly constituency, will be the vice-chairperson. Bharti Saini, Sunita Lohchab, Suman Shahzadwala, Anukampa Garg and Sunita Chauhan have been made members. Shekhar Vidyarthi, Commissioner and Secretary, Women and Child Development Department, has issued the appointment orders of the new chairperson, vice-chairperson and five members of the state women's commission. However, despite Renu Bhatia's resignation, her name and photograph are still visible on the commission's official website. The women's commission has a chairperson, a vice-chairperson and a maximum of five non-official members. Apart from this, the director general of police, women and child development department, and a woman member or IAS officer are made the chairperson of the women's commission.
