Bhubaneswar : The Higher Secondary Education has announced the Phase-I SPOT Selection under the +2 e-Admission process for the Academic Year 2026-27. According to the official notification, a total of 48,536 were considered for the spot selection, out of which 25,332 candidates have been selected for admission across different streams in the state and 23,204 were not selected. Out of the total 25,332 candidates, 7,338 candidates have been allotted seats against their first preference of college and stream. Meanwhile, the highest number of 14,180 students are selected for Arts streams, 2,601 for Commerce, 257 for Sanskrit, 2,601 for Commerce, 7,226 for Science and 1,068 for Vocational. According to officials, 3,786 of the selected students are fresh candidates who had not made it through the first and second selection rounds earlier. A total of candidates selected against their 1st option of college and stream is 7,338. With this, the number of candidates who are not selected in the 1st, 2nd and SPOT selections of Phase-I eAdmission Process is at 20,450. A total of 12,208 male students and 13,123 female candidates have been selected in the spot selection. Students selected in this round have been advised to check the SAMS portal for further instructions on admission and document verification. The department said details for the next phase of the e-admission process will be announced soon.
