Himachal Pradesh High Court Grants Interim Stay on Reservation Roster Notification

Extensions Follow Whatsapp Channel The Himachal Pradesh High Court has granted an interim stay on the notification issued on March 30 authorizing the Deputy Commissioners to modify five percent of the seats in the reservation roster for the elections to the Panchayati Raj Institutions. Terming the notification unconstitutional, a division bench of Justice Vivek Singh Thakur and Justice Ranjan Sharma ordered the state government to issue the revised roster by 5: 00 pm on Tuesday where the Deputy Commissioners have issued the reservation roster in exercise of the powers under the notification.
