Iglas Assembly Seat: A Reserved Constituency with a History of Party Hopping

Iglas seat has assembly strength of 77. Iglas is a reserved assembly seat for SC community. Iglas assembly seat is part of Aligarh district and Hathras Lok Sabha seat. Iglas assembly seat was reserved for SC community in 2012. Iglas assembly seat is reserved for SC community but Jat and Brahmin majority. Jat voters are around 1.25 lakh. Iglas assembly seat had 3,99,803 voters at the time of 2024 Lok Sabha election. Iglas assembly seat has 40,717 voters after SIR. Iglas assembly seat was won by SP-BSP alliance candidate Preeti Kumar Singh.
